Arrest made following serious hit-and-run crash in Boston
BOSTON (AP) — Police have made an arrest following a hit-and-run near the Boston Public Garden that left a woman with life-threatening injuries.
Boston.com reports 58-year-old Keith Andrade faces charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following the incident Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the victim was hit by a stolen pickup truck that had crashed into the gates of the public garden. According to Boston police, she is listed in critical condition.
Witnesses told police the drive of the truck exited the vehicle after striking the woman and walked away.
Andrade, whose address was listed as homeless, is set to be arraigned Friday. It was unknown Friday morning if he was represented by an attorney.
