Arrest made in Atwells Ave. parking lot gun fight

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence police say a suspect has been arrested in connection to a road rage incident confrontation in an Atwells Ave. parking lot.

Police say Timothy Desjardins was arrested after allegedly shooting Ramiro Velasquez in a Walgreens parking lot, when the bullet grazed his left temple.

During a press conference on Monday, investigators say they arrested Desjardins- with a gun in his possession- at his work on Friday.

Police say he works at a barbershop on Atwells Ave., right down the street from where the incident happened.

Police say the suspect is being held without bail on several charges, including felony assault and possessing a firearm without a license.
