ATTLEBORO: Ex-Dispatcher Gets 18 Months in Child Porn Case

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) – A former police dispatcher has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to downloading child pornography to his home computer.

Michael Wynn admitted in Attleboro District Court on Monday to possessing three videos and 128 images of children under 18 engaged in sex or in sexual poses.

Authorities say the porn was discovered after the 39-year-old Wynn, formerly of Norton, was arrested in June 2008 in Connecticut in what he thought was going to be a meeting with a 14-year-old girl.

The Sun Chronicle reports that Wynn was caught in the child-sex sting by a Connecticut state trooper posing as a teenage girl in sexually explicit computer chats.

Wynn's lawyer says he is a former volunteer firefighter and police dispatcher with no prior criminal record.
