Attleboro mayoral election still on for Tuesday
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Election officials in Attleboro have voted to keep the special election for Tuesday to fill the open post for mayor.
The board met Monday morning to consider whether or not to move the election because of the forecasted snow Tuesday. Ultimately, the board decided to keep the election as planned.
Tuesday’s election is to fill the mayor seat vacated by Paul Heroux, who left the post after becoming Bristol County sheriff in January.
Four people are vying to replace Heroux: John David, Cathleen DeSimone, James DiLisio, and Timothy Barone.
