Attleboro police search for driver involved in hit-and-run


ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE)- The Attleboro Police Department is looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run last Thursday.

Police said the accident happened at the intersection of Washington Street and Highland Avenue around 1 p.m.

According to the department’s Twitter, the suspect’s car sustained “heavy front-end damage.” Police said the driver stopped to talk to the victim, but took off after telling them he was going to get his paperwork.

The victim told police the other car involved was possibly a black Subaru Impreza driven by a “heavy-set white male with red hair, a beard, around 25-to-30-years-old.”
