Authorities search for owner of malnourished dog found abandoned in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Authorities in Fall River say the owner of an abandoned dog is facing animal cruelty charges.
Fall River police posted photos of a dog on social media they say is severely malnourished.
The dog had open wounds and was rushed to emergency veterinarian care.
Officials believe the dog was dumped out of a black truck on Ward Street on Sunday night.
Police and Fall River Animal Control are looking to find the owner.
