Providence (WLNE)- East Providence Police have arrested two men in connection to a New Year’s Eve robbery, according to a statement issued today.

Justin Worley, dubbed the “bearded bandit” during a string of 2012 bank robberies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has been charged with the crime again, police said.

According to the statement, police arrived at the TD Bank at 440 Pawtucket Ave. in East Providence just after two armed suspects fled with $11,000.

An East Providence police officer, working from surveillance video and a witness description, spotted a matching vehicle at Twin River Casino in Lincoln the following day.

The two suspects were arrested at the casino with the help of Rhode Island State Police and Twin River security.

Detectives have since recovered $7,000 they believe was a part of the heist, along with a knife and a BB gun.

Worley, of Cranston, and Nichloas Lage, of Warwick, stand charged with one count  each of first-degree robbery and conspiracy.
