WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – A behavioral specialist in Pawtucket has been charged for sending explicit photos to a middle schooler.

Police say 35-year-old Michael Hart sent nude photos to a 13-year-old girl while the teen was a student at Jenks Junior High School in Pawtucket.

The teen told police that Hart gave her special treatment in school, like forging hall passes and buying her bagels.

Hart eventually gave her his cell phone number, and a week after the teen moved to Woonsocket, they began an online relationship.

According to the police report, Hart and the teen texted and the conversation quickly grew sexually graphic. The two sent nude photos to each other.

The report details that through text messages, he asked her if she was into older men, told her he liked her and said when she turns 18, they’ll do “adult things”.

Once Hart found out that police were investigating, he asked the teen to break her phone. She said no, and did a factory reset.

Police were unable to recover anything from the phone but did get a warrant for both the teen and Hart’s phone records. They found that Hart sent a total of 92 text messages and 47 calls from September 21st to December 12th.

Hart was charged with electronically disseminating indecent material to a minor and was ordered to have no contact with the teen.
