Big Rainfall Potential Sunday-Monday

Tonight will be rather quiet locally. Clouds will increase and fog will redevelop after midnight. Lows will only drop to near 70. As a result, we start off Sunday with patchy fog that eventually gives way to a blend of sun and clouds. Highs will be near 83 inland but feel like the upper-80s with the humidity. Beaches will top out in the 70s. As Sunday progresses, we will build in lots of clouds and and there is a chance of rain developing late. Sunday night through Monday is the time to watch. Showers and patchy fog Sunday night will lead to lots of clouds and the chance of thunderstorms Monday. The humidity will be tropical and showers could be heavy. Any thunderstorms we see could be strong and have severe elements of tropical downpours and damaging winds including a low tornado risk. Some of this heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding. The chance of showers and thunderstorms continues into early Tuesday. We are looking hot and humid but sunny Wednesday and Thursday. The chance of showers returns to the forecast to finish the week.
