Bikes allowed in Philadelphia for papal visit

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) _ You won’t be able to drive your car to see Pope Francis in Philadelphia — but you will be able to ride your bike.

The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to traffic during the weekend of Pope Francis’ visit.

Officials have cautioned that people face a walk of at least several miles to get into Philly. But people will be allowed to walk their bicycles across the bridge.

Other security restrictions at the papal sites include a ban on selfie sticks, hard-sided coolers, and anything made of glass.
