ABC6 StormTracker Meteorologist Tim Studebaker is excited to be back in New England after several years away. He was born and raised on Boston’s North Shore and graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Lyndon State College in Vermont. Although very close to home, Rhode Island and the Southcoast are still relatively new to Tim, and he is excited to get out there and explore everything the area has to offer!
Tim started his meteorological career as Weather Producer for WHDH in Boston, working with on-air meteorologists he had watched for years. After producing for WHDH, Tim made the transition to on-air weather at WOAY in Oak Hill, West Virginia. He was then presented an opportunity to pack up and head west to Reno, Nevada as the Morning Meteorologist at KRNV & KRXI. After three years in the west, it was time for him to head back east to his roots in New England. He joined the team here at ABC6 in January of 2017.
Although very close to home, Rhode Island and the Southcoast are still relatively new to Tim, and he is excited to get out there and explore everything the area has to offer! You can catch Tim forecasting Southern New England’s weather on the weekends on ABC6 News, as well as reporting a variety of stories during the week.
