Bishop Hendricken announces passing of former English teacher
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Bishop Hendricken High School announced the passing of former English teacher, Susan Charbonneau, on Wednesday.
Charbonneau died on Monday, according to her obituary, posted by Murphy Funeral Homes.
“An educator for over 40 years, Sue was a Theology and English faculty member from 1991 up until her retirement in 2014. She served as department chair of each subject at points in her time at Hendricken,” the school said in a statement.
Charbonneau was a director of religious education at several parishes, a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, and an organist at three churches, according to the obituary.
“Our condolences to her husband, Gerard; and sons, Stephen, Tim ’95, and David ’96; and the entire Charbonneau and Connell families,” the statement read.
