Black bear climbs tree in Pawtucket backyard
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A black bear made its way into the backyard of a Pawtucket home on Sunday.
Chris Bertrand, a neighbor of the home on Jutras Street, shared photos and videos with ABC 6 News of a black bear that climbed up a tree in his neighbor’s backyard.
The sighting was reported to authorities, who came and tranquilized the bear.
The bear then fell down behind a fence. Authorities said it was unharmed and will be relocated.
The sighting came after several reported in the area of Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket last week.
