Body found by water near RIPTA parking lot in Barrington

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Barrington police said Wednesday that a body was found by the water near a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority parking lot.

The body was found at about 12:30 p.m. near the Park and Ride parking lot.

Chief Michael Correia said the dead man is believed to be under 30 years old. Foul play is not suspected.

No further information was immediately released.
