Body found in Taunton River, Fall River police investigating

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- Fall River police are investigating after a body was found in the Taunton River on Monday morning.

Police said that they received a report from a person who was walking along the waterfront on Remington Avenue and saw the body at around 6:45 a.m.

Investigators arrived at the scene and located the body.

The Massachusetts District Attorney’s Office said the man was 34 years old with no known address, but has ties to New Bedford and Brockton. The DA said foul play is not suspected at this time.

The Fall River Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office are all investigating.
