Body of boater recovered in Natick
NATICK, Mass. (WLNE) — The body of a boater whose canoe capsized on Fiske Pond in Natick was recovered last night.
Crew from the Natick Fire and Police Departments, the Massachusetts Environmental Police, and the Massachusetts State Police located the victim utilizing side-scan sonar at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Divers with the MSP Underwater Recovery Team and Marine Unit as well as the environmental police recovered the body of an adult male, they said.
Another person who was in the capsized canoe made it to shore on his own prior to first responders’ arrival, they added.
