PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence police identified the body located this past weekend at Collier Point Park as a teen who was first reported missing back in February.

Cameron Chun, 17 , a Central High School student, had been missing since Feb. 21, 2019.

Crews responded around 2 p.m. after a passerby in the park called police saying they saw a body in the water.

Providence Police Major David Lapatin said he believes the body could have been in the water for weeks.

“We are looking at it like we look at everyone that we find and there’s no indication right now of any foul play, but we will still keep looking,” said Lapatin.

The Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.
