Bomb threat made at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said Thursday a bomb threat was made to the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.
According to authorities, the staff of the vocational school discovered a bomb threat Thursday night and called police.
Lt. Scott Carola said out of an abundance of caution, K-9 dogs trained to detect explosive materials were called to the scene to conduct a search of the school.
Police confirmed to ABC 6 News that no dangerous items were found.
ABC 6 News crews were on the scene where investigators could be seen outside the school, along with unmarked police cars and a New Bedford police pick up truck.
The school sent out a message to parents advising them of the situation as well, police said.
No further information regarding a suspect was immediately available.
