Booster and pre-arrival testing required for Salve Regina University

Salve Regina University Has Had Just Two Positive Coronavirus Cases, Fewest Among Colleges In R.i.

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE)- Salve Regina University has informed students, faculty, and other members of their university community that they will be requiring pre-arrival test results as well as a COVID-19 booster shot before the spring semester.

The University will require a booster shot for all vaccinated staff, students, and faculty by March 1. Religious and medical exemptions will remain in place. Students not eligible for the vaccine by March 1 should contact Health Services. Employees who are not eligible by that date should contact Human Resources.

They will also require pre-arrival testing with a negative result three days prior to arriving on campus or attending in person classes regardless of vaccination status. PCR or antigen rapid tests are accepted, only at-home PCR tests from Let’s Get Checked will be accepted.
