Boston Mayor re-activates indoor mask mandate

BOSTON (WLNE) – Boston’s Mayor announced Friday that she’s renewing the indoor mask mandate in the city.

Acting Mayor Kim Janey say it’s to boost public health confidence in businesses and protect unvaccinated kids.

The order is effective next Friday but many private businesses have already started to implement it.

Janey is also encouraging test for anyone who’s recently traveled, experiences symptoms, or has known exposure to the virus.
