UPDATE: Body removed from Providence River identified

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The body pulled from the Providence River last week has been identified.
According to Providence police, 63-year-old Robert Santos, of Miami, Fla., was in Rhode Island visiting his daughter in Warwick.
Police say no foul play is suspected at this time.
Providence Police and the Office of the Medical Examiner were on scene on Saturday, February 17th for reports of a body found in the Providence River.

Crews responded to the edge of the water near 200 Dyer Street shortly after 1:00 p.m.
Santos’ body was removed from the water shortly after 2:00 p.m.
The body that was located in the Providence River last week has been identified as Robert Santos, age 64 of Miami, FL. Santos was in RI visiting his daughter in Warwick. No foul play is suspected at this time, police continue to investigate.

Police are still investigating the incident.
