Brian Walshe held without bail on charges in disappearance of wife Ana Walshe

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts man indicted in the killing of his wife, Ana Walshe, was held without bail Thursday morning.

Brian Walshe of Cohasset plead not guilty in Norfolk County Superior Court to murdering his wife and lying to police. He’s due back in court in August.

The case centered around 48-year-old Brian moved to Norfolk County Superior Court after he pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in Quincy District Court in January.

Brian also faces obstruction of justice and improper conveyance of a human body charges in connection to the New Year’s disappearance of his wife.

Authorities said Ana’s body has yet to be found.

Earlier this year, the director of the criminal defense clinic at Roger Williams University told ABC 6 News that with enough circumstantial evidence, a body is not necessary for a conviction.

Investigators said they found a bloody knife in the family’s Cohasset home as well as personal items of Ana’s at a Peabody transfer station.

They said Brian also had a disturbing Google search history, including how to dispose of a body.
