Brick and mortar boutique in Westerly, gets creative during pandemic

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – A boutique in Rhode Island is staying in business by offering virtual shopping.

Woodee’s Boutique, a family run business in Westerly was strictly a brick and mortar store before the pandemic began.

Now they are being forced to make some changes to stay in business, like using social media to let people shop their products.

“I didn’t really know what kind of feedback we were gonna see from these support local campaigns, but the fact that people are actually taking the time and going out their way to make even just a small single purchase, it’s so sweet and kind and I think it, I don’t think they realize how much it means to all of us.”

The store is also offering curbside pickup for those who buy products online.

To view the products in the boutique follow them on Instagram at @woodees_boutique or on their Facebook page.
