Brief Break in the Rain

Sunday was a record-breaker for rainfall. The record came down at 5:20pm as we made it to 1.25″, beating the old record of 1.13″ from 1989. Of course the final totals will be higher as the rain continues on through midnight. Tonight through the overnight will continue rounds of locally heavy rain and possible thunderstorms. It will become gusty as well with occasional winds gusting to 35 mph from the southeast. The rain ends before dawn and clouds will see us through the early Monday commute. Here is the brief break in the rainfall as we clear to mostly sunny to finish out the day. Monday will be breezy and seasonably mild with highs near 63. The unsettled weather comes back for Tuesday and lasts through Friday with lots of clouds and rounds of showers coming through from time to time. Temperatures during this unsettled trend will also be running slightly cooler than average.
