Bristol County COVID-19 vaccination sites set to open in Massachusetts after long delay

ATTLEBORO, MA (WLNE) – At long last, Bristol County’s Regional Vaccine Sites are set to open.

The clinics will rotate days through local cities and towns.

On March 16, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced that four regional vaccination clinics were coming to the county but they never opened until now.

The four COVID-19 vaccination sites in Bristol County that were supposed to open months ago were sitting in the dark despite being set up, staffed, and ready to go.

Taunton will start offering the coronavirus vaccine this Saturday at the Holiday Inn on Myles Standish Boulevard.

Appointments will be offered there on Tuesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Attleboro location will open Monday at 11 a.m. and run until 3 p.m. at the La Salette Shrine.

Mayor Paul Heroux tells ABC6 this gives people on the bus line better access to get their shots.

Appointments will be available on the state’s vax finder website.
