The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Friday its cold case unit is renewing its efforts to solve decades old cases in southeastern Massachusetts.

The district attorney’s office said it’s launching a new project that looks to put a name to any human remains that were found but never identified. This includes cases dating back almost 40 years some of which were homicides.

Local and state police, along with the FBI, are also part of this program.
