BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — The historic Bristol Ferry Lighthouse is now listed on the market for the first time since 2000. The lighthouse is now privately owned after it was sold by the government in 1928, according to the Boston Globe .

The house is on Old Ferry Road located below the Mount Hope Bridge, and has been around since 1855. From the lighthouse, you can see a wide view of Narraganset Bay, Hog Island, Prudence Island and East Passage.

The property is listed on multiple real estate websites for $750,000, which is nearly double the amount it was sold for in 2000. The lighthouse is around 1300 square feet, and was renovated back in 2014 when the property faced damages from Hurricane Sandy. According to a document from the Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission, the lighthouse was granted $99,999 for repairs.

The owners of the lighthouse do not wish to comment on the sale at this time, says the Boston Globe.
