BRISTOL, RI (WLNE)- Bristol police announced a new program Thursday in which they’re offering residents the chance to request a police cruiser to come by and wish a loved one a Happy Birthday during Gov. Gina Raimondo’s stay at home order.

“We know things are tough right now, but we still want to celebrate the day you were born,” the police department’s Facebook post read. “We would like to send a police cruiser to you on your special day to wish you a Happy Birthday.”

To sign-up for a police cruiser to wish your loved one a Happy Birthday, submit their address, contact information, and time frame for the police cruiser to drive by to dispatch@bristolri.gov or call 401-253-6900.

The police cruiser will turn on their lights and sirens to send your loved one Happy Birthday wishes, the Facebook post says.

The Bristol Police Department is excited to announce this new program!
