Broadway off-ramp from Route 6 will close tonight for paving

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Broadway off-ramp from Route 6 east will be closed for 24 hours starting Friday at 7 p.m.

The closure for paving is part of the ongoing $410 million Route 6/10 Interchange project is part of a series of closure on May 5, 12, and 19.

The lane closures are to allow the contractor extended working hours to complete the leveling and paving operations with the least impact to motorists, the department said.

Drivers should expect additional travel time or consider alternative routes, they added.

Traffic can detour using Hartford Avenue or Dean Street.

A fourth weekend is being schedules for June as well.
