Twin brothers from Pawtucket killed in MA crash on Christmas Eve

Mattapoisett, MA (WLNE) – Massachusetts State Police said two people from Pawtucket died in a car accident on Route 195 in Mattapoisett on Christmas Eve.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said twin brothers Alberto Morales and Ruddy Morales, both 33, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, were killed in the crash.

Massachusetts State Police said the two men were in a 2012 Honda Accord that went off the road, crashed into a median and then struck trees. The accident happened near the 32 mile marker just after 11am on December 24. The driver and passenger,  were taken to the hospital, where they died.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other cars were involved in the accident.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene, along with Mattapoisett Police, Fire and EMS, as well as Marion Police, Fire and EMS.

Two left lanes of 195 west were closed while officers investigated the crash.
