Brown Football Wraps Up Semester With Annual Spring Game

Providence, R.I. – LJ Harriott ’20 (Central Islip, NY) ran for 115 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown run, to lead the Brown Team to a 27-21 win over the While Team in the Annual Brown football Spring game at Brown Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Harriott had some dazzling runs out of the quarterback position, putting together long runs of 52 and 37 yards.  Wide receiver Jaelon Blandburg ‘20 (Orange County, CA) scored on a 13-yard run and runningback David Moodie ‘19 (Sanford, FL) had a 27 yard touchdown run, both for the Brown Team. Quarterback Nick Duncan ’19 (St. Louis, MO) scored on a one-yard run for the Brown Team.

White Team quarterback TJ Linta ‘18 (Bradford, CT) was also impressive, throwing two touchdowns on passes of 66 yards to wide receiver Demitri Jackson ‘20(Nashua, NH), and  three yards to runningback Andrew Bolton ‘20 (Troy, NY). In addition, White Team quarterback Andrew Livingston ‘19 (Rye, NY) tossed a 23 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Spencer  Hemmingway (Roswell, GA).

Defensively, Gideon Dixon ’18 (Syracuse, NY) intercepted a pass in the end zone for the White Team to stop a Brown Team scoring attempt. Nicholas Kane ‘20(Alamo, CA)  recovered a fumble for the Brown team defense, while Daryl Banfield ’19 (Bronx, NY) had two sacks.

Head coach Phil Estes and the Brown football team its open 2017 season on September 16, hosting Bryant at Brown Stadium.
