Brown revoking Bill Cosby’s honorary degree

By News Staff

Brown University is revoking an honorary degree it handed out to Bill Cosby.

Brown’s president made the announcement in a campus-wide e-mail sent out Monday night saying that the allegations of sexual misconduct against Cosby go against the school’s values, and are the exact opposite of the qualities for which he was honored with the honorary degree back in 1985.

Several other universities have also revoked honorary degrees they’ve handed out to Cosby since 35 women made claims against the legendary comedian saying that he sexually assaulted them over the course of the last 30 years.
