Brown University member tests positive for Coronavirus

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): The first Brown University community member has tested positive for coronavirus, according to the school.

Brown University previously had measures in place to limit community exposure.

Undergraduates now must leave residence halls by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. Students should leave earlier, if possible.

Starting on Monday, March 16, only essential personnel will be reporting to work in person. Staff who can work remotely are expected to do so, according to the school

All employees will continue to be paid.

This restriction will remain until Sunday, March 22, and be re-assessed.
