Brown University To Host “Story Days” Launch Saturday Honoring Bill Reynolds

Brown University Press Release

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – An official book launch to announce the publication of STORY DAYS, a collection of the late Bill Reynolds ’68 columns spanning his nearly 40-year career at the Providence Journal will take place this Saturday.  This anthology has been published by Bill’s longtime partner Liz Abbott to honor Bill by preserving some of Bill’s columns for future readers to enjoy.

The book launch is set for July 22, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center located at 235 Hope Street on the Brown University campus in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a change from the original plan which was to have the book launch at The Butcher Shop on Elmgrove Avenue.

The change in location could not be more appropriate given that Brown is Bill’s alma mater, his love for the sport of basketball and the thousands of hours he spent in that gym both playing pick-up games and watching and covering his beloved Brown Bears.

All are invited to come by and honor the wonderful work he did over the years. It could be a chance to see some old friends and to remember the great friend and mentor Bill was to so many people.

Books will be for sale at the event, but STORY DAYS is also now available on Amazon, and it will be carried by local bookstores.
