Brown Women’s Volleyball To Play Washington In First Round of NCAA Tournament

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball found out it will travel across the country to face off against the No. 15 seed Washington Huskies in the first round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament on Friday (Dec. 3).

The match against the Huskies will begin at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT and will be at the Alaska Airlines Center at the University of Washington.

Brown won its first Ivy League championship since 2001 and will be in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998. The Bears swept its last six Ivy League matches and set a school record with 13 wins during league play. Brown swept the Ivy League Yearly Awards with Cierra Jenkins earning Player of the Year, Beau Vanderlaan earning Rookie of the Year, Victoria Vo earning Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Ahen Kim being named Coach of the Year.

Brown will play Washington for the first time in school history when the two teams square off. The winner of the match will play the winner of Hawaii/Mississippi State with that second round match being on Saturday (Dec. 4).
