PRINCETON, N.J. – Following his breakout performance in Friday’s game at Harvard, Brown sophomore wide receiver Graham Walker has been named the Ivy League’s Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It is the first Ivy League weekly award for a Brown football player this season.

Walker led all receivers with game and career-highs of eight catches for 126 yards and one touchdown in Friday’s nationally televised matchup against the Crimson. At the 9:30 mark of the fourth quarter, Walker made a diving catch at the goal line for a 43-yard touchdown reception, the first of his career. He later added a 36-yard reception in the final minute to set Brown up first-and-goal at the eight, which led to the team’s final touchdown on the last play of the game.

Through the first two games of the season, Walker is tied for second on the team with 11 receptions, leading the Bears with 150 yards receiving for an average of 75.0 yards per game.

Brown travels to Bryant this Saturday afternoon for the final non-league tilt of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. on NEC Front Row and AM 790 WPRV Radio.
