Brown’s Jaylan Gainey Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Jaylan Gainey of the the Brown men’s basketball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Gainey posted a career-high 25 points, 12 rebounds, and a program-record eight blocked shots in the team’s 81-74 win over Columbia.
“I thought Jaylan was incredible,” head coach Mike Martin said of the senior. “Offensively, defensively, on the glass.”
Gainey’s eight blocks put him at 61 on the season, a new career high, and 123 in his career, bumping him up to third place all-time in the program record book.
