Brown’s Kino Lilly Jr. Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Kino Lilly Jr. of the Brown men’s basketball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

Lilly averaged 25.5 points during a 1-1 week for the Bears that included hitting the game-winning shot to take down previously undefeated in Ivy play Princeton. Lilly was 10-for-15 from the field and 4-for-7 from three for 26 points against the Tigers and added two rebounds and one assist.

In the week’s second game, the Glen Dale, Md. native had 25 points and three assists as the Bears came up just short at Yale.

On the season, Lilly is averaging 16.2 points, ranking him third in the Ivy League, and leads the conference with 51 made three pointers.

Brown returns to action this Saturday, Jan. 21 with a 4 p.m. home game against Columbia.
