Brown’s Paxson Wojcik Named Ivy League Player of the Week
Brown University Press Release
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Paxson Wojcik of the Brown men’s basketball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
The senior led Brown to a 2-0 weekend with a pair of road wins at Dartmouth and Harvard. He averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 42.9% from three.
Wojcik posted a career-high 23 points and added eight rebounds in Saturday’s win at Harvard and had 15 points, 9 boards, and 6 assists the night before at Dartmouth.
In addition, Wojcik’s defense all weekend long was a key factor in both of the Bears’ victories.
It is the third time in the last four weeks that a Bear has earned Player of the Week honors, with Nana Owusu-Anane garnering the award on Jan. 23 and Kino Lilly Jr. doing the same the week before.
Wojcik and the Bears return home to host Cornell this Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.
