Bruins Forward Noel Acciari of Johnston Out Four Weeks with Lower-Body Injury

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, November 10, that forward Noel Acciari is expected to miss approximately four weeks with a lower-body injury.
Acciari, 24, has appeared in 12 games with the Bruins in 2016-17, recording two assists for two points with four penalty minutes and a plus-one rating. He also ranks third on the team with 26 hits.
The 5-foot-10, 208-pound forward has skated in 31 career NHL games with the Bruins over the past two seasons, compiling three assists and 12 penalty minutes. He played 45 games in his first professional season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2015-16, registering seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points with 19 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating. Acciari also skated in three postseason contests with Providence, scoring one goal and two assists with four penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
Prior to joining the Bruins organization, Acciari played three seasons at Providence College, where he served as a captain in 2014-15, helping lead the Friars to their first-ever National Championship with a team-high 15 goals, 17 assists, 26 penalty minutes and a plus-22 rating. Over this three-year collegiate career, Acciari appeared in 113 games, amassing 32 goals and 33 assists for 65 points with 72 penalty minutes and a plus-23 rating.
The Johnston, Rhode Island native was originally signed by the Bruins as a free agent on June 8, 2015.
