Bruins Hope For Revenge on Flyers After Last Year’s Collapse

Flyers, Bruins revisit epic collapse, comeback

AP Sports Writer
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Boston had a collapse for the ages. The
Flyers had a comeback for the history books.
The Flyers erased a pair of 3-0 deficits against the Bruins in
last year's Eastern Conference semifinals.
Down 3-0 in the series, then down 3-0 in Game 7, the Flyers
shockingly rallied to win the decisive game 4-3 and move on to the
conference finals.
The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 1975 New York Islanders
were the only NHL teams to overcome 3-0 deficits to win a
best-of-seven playoff series.
Here they are again, one year later … in the same round.
The Bruins, of course, want to put the series to rest. They'll
get an extra shot of motivation against the team that spoiled their
Stanley Cup run.
The Flyers say they can win again, hopefully without all the
drama.
