Bruins Re-Sign Kevan Miller
Miller, 32, missed the entire 2019-20 season due to a lower-body injury. He last played for the club in 2018-19, when he skated in 39 games and posted seven assists with a plus-eight rating.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defenseman has appeared in 324 career NHL games with Boston, totaling 12 goals and 55 assists for 67 points with 712 hits, 534 blocked shots, 261 penalty minutes and a plus-80 rating. Since joining the club full time in 2013-14, Miller ranks second on the team in hits and blocked shots, fourth in plus/minus and seventh in games played. He has also appeared in 29 career postseason games with Boston, tallying one goal and five assists.
The Los Angeles, California native was originally signed by the Bruins as an undrafted free agent from the University of Vermont on March 17, 2011.
