Bruins Send Two to P-B’s, Recall Florek and Linblad

BOSTON BRUINS MAKE FOUR ROSTER TRANSACTIONS ON FEBRUARY 21

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced
today, February 21, that the club has assigned forwards Craig Cunningham
and Alexander Khokhlachev to Providence.

Chiarelli also announced that the team has recalled forwards Justin
Florek and Matt Lindblad from Providence (American Hockey League).
Florek and Lindblad will join the Bruins for Friday's practice in
Wilmington, MA.

Florek has skated in 49 games this season with Providence, notching 12
goals (ranks fourth on the team) and 17 assists for 29 points (ranks
fifth on the team).

The forward has played in a total of 128 games with the Providence
Bruins from 2011-14, accruing 25 goals and 35 assists for 60 points.
Prior to joining the P-Bruins, the 23-year-old played four seasons with
Northern Michigan University, appearing in 157 games. As a Wildcat,
Florek netted 53 goals and acquired 63 assists for a total of 169
points.

Prior to his college career, the winger played two seasons
(2006-08) with the United States Hockey National Team Development
Program where he played in 60 games totaling 14 goals and 13 assists for
27 points.
The 6'4'', 199-pound native of Marquette, Michigan was drafted by the
Boston Bruins in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry
Draft.

Lindblad has skated in 35 games this season for the Providence Bruins,
tallying seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points.

The forward has appeared in 39 total games for the P-Bruins from
2012-13. Lindblad has netted eight goals and 14 assists thus far for 22
points. Prior to joining Providence, Lindblad skated three seasons
(2010-13) for Dartmouth College.

In 89 games for the Big Green, Lindblad
racked up 29 goals and 51 assists for 80 points. Prior to playing for
Dartmouth, the centerman played in the United States Hockey League with
the Sioux Falls Stampede (2009-10) and the Chicago Steel (2008-09). The
forward skated in 57 games for the Stampede and he accrued 24 goals and
46 assists for 70 points. While with the Steel, the forward appeared in
51 games where he scored five goals and acquired 20 assists.

This is Lindblad's first NHL recall.

The 5'11'', 193-pound Winnetka, IL native was signed by Boston as a free
agent on April 5, 2013.
