Bruins Sign Lauko & Keyser To New Deals Wednesday

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, July 5, that the team has signed forward Jakub Lauko and goaltender Kyle Keyser.

Lauko, 23, has been signed to a two-year contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $787,500. It is a two-way contract for the 2023-24 season and a one-way contract for the 2024-25 season.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound forward split time between Providence and Boston in 2022-23, playing in 23 NHL games and tallying four goals and three assists for seven points with a plus-two rating. In Providence, he appeared in 35 AHL games, posting 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points with a plus-10 rating.

The Prague, Czech Republic native was originally drafted by Boston in the third round (77th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Keyser, 24, has been signed to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.

The 6-foot-2, 186-pound goaltender appeared in 24 AHL games with Providence in 2022-23, posting a 13-6-2-1 record with a 2.79 goals against average and .900 save percentage. Keyser has appeared in 68 career AHL games with Providence, compiling a 28-25-11-2 record with a 2.79 goals against average and .904 save percentage.

The Coral Springs, Florida native was originally signed by Boston as a free agent in October, 2017.
