Bruins Sign Winger Pavel Zacha To One-Year Contract

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, August 8, that the team has signed forward Pavel Zacha to a one-year contract with an NHL cap hit of $3.5 million.

Zacha, 25, appeared in 70 games with the New Jersey Devils during the 2021-22 season, recording 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound forward has played in 386 career NHL games, all with New Jersey, and has tallied 69 goals and 110 assists for 179 points.

The Brno, Czech Republic native was acquired by Boston on July 13, 2022 via trade from New Jersey in exchange for forward Erik Haula.

Zacha was originally selected by New Jersey in the first round (6th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
