Bryant Picked To Finish Second In NEC Preseason Poll, Kiss Named To Preseason All-NEC First Team

SOMERSET, N.J. — The Northeast Conference held its annual men’s basketball virtual media day on Tuesday afternoon and league coaches have voted the Bryant men’s basketball team second in the preseason poll. Senior Peter Kiss was selected to the Preseason All-NEC Team.

coming off a second-place finish in the regular season and a spot in the NEC Championship game, the Bulldogs received two first-place votes. Wagner, the defending regular-season champ received seven first-place votes, while defending tournament champ Mount St. Mary’s picked up the final vote.

Kiss is coming off a dominant all-around campaign for the Black and Gold last winter. He ranked sixth in the NEC in scoring (16.6), eighth in field goal percentage (.504), 11th in assists (3.2), fourth in free throw percentage (.851) and sixth in steals (1.86). Kiss posted three double-doubles, 20 double-figure scoring games and 10 20-point games for the Bulldogs.

Bryant is scheduled to open its 2021-22 season on November 9 against Fisher College. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
