Bryant student charged with burglary, sexual assault

Smithfield Police have arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a Bryant University Dorm and sexually assaulted a female student.

Daniel Jaramillo, a 20-year-old student of the college, was arrested and charged with burglary, second degree assault, and disorderly conduct on Thursday, September 25th.

The victim told police she was awoken by Jaramillo who was standing at her bedside. She chased him out of the room and then alerted Bryant Public Safety Officers.

Jaramillo was held overnight and brought to Third District Court in the morning. He was held without bail and is scheduled to be in court on October 9th.
