Bryant’s Antwan Walker Named America East Player of the Week
Bryant University men’s basketball senior Antwan Walker was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday. The honor is the second this season for Walker.
Walker was dominant in a 2-0 week for the Black and Gold, averaging 26.0 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game. He shot 71 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
The Washington, D.C., native opened the week with a career performance against UAlbany, scoring a career-high 33 points on 14-of-21 shooting. He was 4-of-8 from three and also added 11 rebounds for what was his third-straight double-double. Walker closed out the week with a 19-point performance in Bryant’s win at UNH. He was 8-of-10 from the field in the contest.
Walker is currently enjoying a career year, averaging 14.7 ppg and 7.4 rpg. He is shooting 57 percent from the field, ranking 46th nationally.
