Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz was examined by Dr. James Andrews Monday in Alabama and was told there is no structural damage in his shoulder.

Dr. Andrews said he agreed with Red Sox doctors who said Buchholz simply has inflamation in the bursa sac of his shoulder.  Buchholz has been cleared to pitch without fear of further injury.

Buchholz threw from 100 feet on Sunday and will next throw on Wednesday.  There is no announced timetable for his return to the mound.
