BUDDY TV: The WikiLeaks Controversy
In today's edition of Buddy TV, Buddy and Andrew Gobeil analyze the latest release of classified government documents by the watchdog website WikiLeaks.
Buddy says that post 9-11 intelligence reforms designed to make information-sharing among the government and its intelligence agencies may have in fact made it easier for an Army Private First Class to obtain volumes of sensitive communications.
As far as the impact of the leaks, Buddy thinks the Obama administration is right to say that the leaks jeopardize national security and Washington's standing with other countries. He suggests that PFC Bradley Manning and website founder Julian Assange be prosecuted by the federal government.
